A full-time vacancy has arisen for an experienced Grenadier Operator. The applicant will have a minimum of five years’ experience in operating a range of drainage and/or agricultural machinery. Excellent spoken and written English is essential.
The role requires the individual to be self-motivated, flexible, capable of working on own initiative as well as working as part of an established team. The applicant will be required to work seasonal overtime and at short notice during extensive rainfall events (often in unsociable hours).
A full clean driving licence and own transport is essential. A monthly essential user allowance is paid for vehicle use along with a 45p a mile allowance.
The starting salary for the position is £20,060 based on a 38 hour week. Employees are eligible to join the Lincolnshire Pension Fund career average pension scheme. Annual holiday entitlement starts at 26 days, rising to 30 days after five years’ service.
The successful applicant will be required to work in harmony, supporting colleagues and will become a key member of an effective team. The Board’s policies and the law in relation to Health and Safety, Financial Regulations, Equal Opportunities, Data Protection and other adopted policies and procedures are also expected to be upheld. Further training will be given where required.
